3rd Surgery Done!

The girls had their surgery this morning. The surgery went well and the girls are home doing great! We took them to the doctor's this afternoon for a post op check and the doctor says the eyes look really great - perfectly straight! This should be their last surgery.

3rd Surgery Scheduled

The doctor's office called a little while ago. The 3rd surgery has been scheduled for Friday, October 3rd.

Medical Update

We took the girls to the doctor today. The doctor can't believe how well the girls are doing. They're growing and gaining weight (yes - at this age it's a good thing).

Eye Update

We met with the eye doctor again. The girls have healed and their eye alignment is getting better. He's confident another surgery should fix the remaining issue. We'll be scheduling another surgery for later in the month.

Surgery Update!

We completed round 2 on Wednesday, July 16th!

The girls did better with the anaesthesia this time. It was decided that this time the girls would be woken up slowly avoiding the shock of not knowing where they were.

The girl's eyes are pretty swollen so we're thinking that they may need another surgery. Their eyes are turning outwards and their having a hard time focusing with both eyes at one time. We're being told that this may self correct as the girls heal but only time will tell.
