Latest News from the Eye Doctor

We met with the Dr. Abrams this morning and it's been determined that both girls will need another surgery. We knew going into the first surgery that our odds of having to make adjustments were very high since the severity of their condition was off the charts to begin with.

We've been scheduled for another check up on May 30th. During that visit he'll measure their eyes again and determine when their next surgery should be scheduled.

2 Month Doctor's Check Up

The girls have been home for just over 2 months. They had their 2 month check up today. Hannah's managed to gain 3 pounds and Hayley's up 2. The doctor can't believe the progress they're making. They're quickly catching up to other one year olds and are proving to have very healthy appetites!

Hayley's been watching her big sister and has finally decided that if Hannah can do it so can she! She's still doing the "step-balance-step" thing but she's getting around.

Eye Surgery Done!

The eye surgery is done and all is well. We arrived at the hospital at 5:45 after having last minute car issues (flat tire). Hayley went first at 6:30 and then Hannah followed at 7:15. Both girls were done and ready to go home by 8:00.

They had a hard time waking up after the surgery but they say that's normal for little kids. The doctor stopped by on his way out and said the surgeries went great.

We still can't get over how quick the surgeries went and that it was an instant fix!
